Join us for a faculty recital performed by Justin Montigne, voice, with Ling Lo, piano. Mélodies Passagères: Songs of Longing and Belonging explores music and poetry shaped by love in its many forms—hidden, celebrated, and enduring. From the Schumann family circle to Samuel Barber and Stephen Sondheim, these works reveal how queer lives and relationships have always been part of the fabric of artistic expression. Also featured is Jodi Goble’s Song-Lost World, a setting of poems by Yone Noguchi that extends her connection with UND after last spring’s guest residency.
